The txistu-players concerts or show is a traditional part of the fiestas in the towns and villages of the Basque Country. The one in San Sebastián was first held back in 1978 organised by Jose Ignazio Montes Astigarra so that the Big Week would have a popular touch and presence of the txistu flute.
The programme features own works for txistu, Basque dances and well-known popular songs, as well as others not so well known and recovered from the archives. This is an entertaining and enriching performance lasting for around an hour and a half.
