Nøgen

Nøgen is one of the fastest rising groups in today’s scene. They produce folk-pop of British roots and mainly sing in Basque. They also include indie, Americana and rock styles. The group focuses on the melody, with elaborate vocal harmonies and a marked series of beats on the bass and drum.

The group formed in 2016 with Ane Negueruela on vocals, Alex Irazusta on the guitar, and Markel Idigoras on the ukelele and vocals. Later they were joined by Olatz Cuevas on the bass and Jokin Guilisagasti on drums. Ane Negueruela eventually left the group, only to be immediately replaced by Eider Sáez as the lead voice. Eider left the group in 2021, and Ane Negueruela rejoined the group.

They have toured clubs and theatres in the Basque Country and the rest of Spain, and even Cuba, Korea and Japan. They have also performed at festivals including BBK Live and the Jazzaldia in San Sebastián.
