Donostia / San Sebastián Musical Fortnight. Chamber Music Series. La Ritirata

Luigi Boccherini, an outstanding cellist, composed 114 string quintets, establishing him as the most important composer of string quintets in history. This programme combines two of his quintets with the celebrated String Quartet No. 2 by Juan Crisóstomo Arriaga, marking the bicentenary of the Bilbao-born composer’s death.
