Banda Municipal de Música de Sangüesa

In 1896, the first regulation for the Philharmonic Society of Saint Cecilia was approved between a group of musicians and the town council, which would later be called the Municipal Band of Sangüesa.

Their performances have extended throughout Navarra, Aragón, Galicia, the Basque Country, and Lower Navarra. They have performed on numerous occasions together with various groups from Sangüesa (Coral Nora, Txistularis Group, Bagpipers, Dancers, Giant and Big-Headed Figures Troupe...).

Currently, it is composed of fifty-two young musicians trained at the Juan Francés de Iribarren Conservatory and Music School in Sangüesa (Navarra), directed by Javier Calvo Lerga and Imanol Blasco Itoiz.
